Bismillaah Alhamdulillah was-Salaatu was-Salaamu ‘Alaa Rasoolillaah

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet salallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’aan and teach it.” Collected by Al-Bukhaaree (5027)

It was narrated that ‘Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who is skilled in reciting Qur’aan will be with the noble and obedient scribes and the one who reads the Qur’aan and struggles with it because it is difficult for him will have two rewards.” Collected by Muslim (798)

LEARN TAJWEED AL QURAN IN ENGLISH 123 is a room on paltalk which teaches people the ahkaam (rules) of Tajweed so they can learn how to recite the Qur’aan properly. Details to do with the obligation of learning and reciting with Tajweed can be found here.

These lessons are only an introduction into the Ahkaam of Tajweed and Qiraa’ah.

The teacher will help you identify common mistakes made in regards to:

  • Makhaarij Al-Huroof “articulation of letters”
  • Pronunciation of words
  • Formulating of different types of Ayaat (verses of the Qur’aan).
  • Implementation of Tajweed rules

This doesn’t mean to say that you will be accredited as a Qari or Qariyah after finishing recitations, but rather you will have stepped onto the first stepping stone towards becoming a professional reciter, like the reciter of all reciters Mahmoud Khalil Al Husari, in shaa` Allah. Rather, these lessons will prepare and equip you to pursue a sheikh in order to enhance or dive deeper into ‘ilmul Qiraa-’ah (science of recitation).

We ask Allah to forgive us our mistakes and increase us in goodness and keep us firm upon Al-Islam and As-Sunnah. O Allah, make us from the companions of  Al-Qur’aan and make it a means of guidance, mercy and purification for our souls. O Allah, make Al-Qur’aan an evidence for us and not against us, aameen.

Wa-Sall`Allahu `alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammadin, wa-`alaa aalihi wa-sahbihi wa-sallam.

  1. Asalaamu’alaikum warahmatullaah please forward this question to the teacher. Jazaakumullaahu khairan.

asalaamu’alaik warahmatullaah brother, i had a question regarding Qira’at of the Qur’an. i have read that reciting as if you are singing is forbidden but also that the voice should be beautified. please can you clarify how can one differentiate between the two. some have indicated that during the compulsary elongation some recitors, change the pitch of their tone and this is wrong. but also some may raise it and this is called nabr which is allowed?

I would appreciate it if you could provide examples of recitors who do the permissable type and the impermissable type. jazaakAllaahu khair for your time.

    wasalaamu’alaik
